Gregory J. Tierney has been litigating civil claims in New Jersey for over 25 years at some of the most respected law firms in Bergen and Passaic Counties.
He has concentrated in diverse personal injury claims and Superior Court trials with a particular interest in the areas of playground and school physical education safety, as well as in worker’s compensation claims.
After receiving his B.S. in Chemistry from Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York, he entered active duty with the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant in the Strategic Air Command and received technical training in missile launch operations at Vandenberg AFB California. While performing active duty as a Titan II missile launch officer he went on to earn his JD from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, School of Law. He received law review recognition and interned with the Arkansas Attorney General, Criminal Appellate Division. Upon fulfillment of his military obligation he returned to New Jersey and became an Assistant Editorial Director of Matthew Bender, Inc., publisher of legal treatises, and then entered private practice. He was the Municipal Public Defender of the Borough of Dumont for over ten years. He has continued to litigate in all counties of New Jersey. He enjoys hiking, reading and jazz.
